Lookers plc has reported 19 per cent growth in pre-tax profits to £14m on turnover of £961m - up 22 per cent - for 2003. Lookers' 14 new acquisitions made last year would have increased group sales over £1bn had they all been owned from the start of the year.

Lookers now has more than 90 dealerships and an annual turnover of £961m, and says it has been actively reviewing further acquisitions.
