Volkswagen has expanded the petrol line-up of the new Passat saloon and estate with the 3.2-litre V6 248bhp engine.
Available to order now, the most powerful engine in the range is coupled with the six-speed DSG gearbox and features the 4MOTION four-wheel drive system as standard.
The Passat accelerates from 0-62 mph in 6.9 seconds in the saloon, and 7.2 seconds in the estate, to reach a top speed of 153mph and 151mph respectively.
The new models are available in Sport and SEL trim levels, and receive additional items of standard specification, including 17-inch alloy wheels and a tyre pressure monitor. Chrome-plated roof rails and stainless steel load sill protection are fitted as standard on the Passat estate sport model, while the SEL models, on both the saloon and estate, feature a full size alloy spare wheel.
