Rolls-Royce Motor Cars chairman Ian Robertson has been appointed as sales and marketing director on BMW AG’s advisory board following the departure of Stephen Krause.

Krause left BMW to join Deutsche Bank. Robertson is remaining in his current position at Goodwood with Rolls-Royce until his successor is announced.

The move makes Robertson the first Briton to join BMW's board of directors.
